The Department of Public Services includes the
Water and Sewer Department, the Building Department, solid waste
collection and ordinance enforcement. The department consists of
26 full and part-time staff, including two professional engineers.
The Water and Sewer Department is responsible for
the water distribution system and the sanitary sewer collection
system. The department is responsible for maintaining water
mains, sewers, pump stations and reservoirs and planning for system
improvements to service new customers. They also service
individual accounts with water metering and billing.
