Automatic Bill Payment

 Automatic Bill Payment Authorization Form

With Automatic Bill Payment, you can have your water and sewer bill automatically paid from any participating bank, savings and loan, or credit union account. Just complete the form, return it, and start enjoying these benefits:

  • No checks to write.
  • No postage to pay.
  • No trips to Township Hall to pay your bill.
  • If you’re on vacation or sick at home, your bill would be paid on time.

All you have to do is make sure there is enough money in your account to cover the bill, and then record the payment in your records.

With automatic bill payment, you will continue to receive a bimonthly billing statement. When your automatic payment has been approved you will receive a notification letter from Northville Township stating your account has been approved and the effective start date of your automatic bill payment.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How long does it take to get on the plan?
Depending on when you sign up, most accounts will be converted within 90-120 days. You will be notified by mail when your bill will be deducted from your account automatically. You should continue to pay normally until the authorization letter notifies you.

Will the appearance of my water and sewer bill change?
Your bill will say "ACH – DO NOT PAY" and will have a border around the amount due section.

What if I have a question concerning the amount of my bill?
You should contact the Water & Sewer Department at least 10 days prior to the due date of your bill.

What if there isn’t enough money in my account?
You should have plenty of time to deposit money into your account, as the deduction does not take place until the due date of your bill. If there are insufficient funds, it will be treated like a bounced check; and a penalty will be added to your account.

Can I withdraw from the program?
Yes. You should notify the Water and Sewer Department in writing when you wish to discontinue the service.
